What is the difference between LED, MicroLED and CoB MicroLED?
Answer:
LED video walls use large, exposed light-emitting components and are designed for viewing from a distance. Think stadium scoreboards and retail signage. Up close, individual pixels are visible, and the surface is vulnerable to humidity and impact.
MicroLED shrinks those components to microscopic scale, making pixels virtually invisible at normal viewing distances. The result is true black levels, extraordinary color accuracy, and brightness that holds up in ambient light, qualities no television technology can match.
CoB MicroLED (Chip-on-Board) is the current state of the art. The micro-emitters are sealed under a continuous resin surface, making the panel durable, glare-resistant, and impervious to dust and moisture. It performs equally well in a bright sunlit room or a darkened home theater.
Every video wall Definitive Electronics installs is CoB MicroLED; the only technology that performs correctly in a Florida home at any viewing distance, in any lighting condition, for years without degradation.
