What is a Barco Pulse Projector?

Barco’s Pulse projectors are a family of high-performance residential projectors built around Barco’s Pulse electronic and software platform. Barco positions the Pulse range for versatile residential applications ranging from dedicated theater and media rooms to architectural and digital-art installations.

The range includes models with different light sources, resolutions, brightness levels, and native aspect ratios, allowing a system designer to match the projector to the room rather than forcing every theater into the same configuration. Some models are also available in dedicated CinemaScope versions.

It’s important not to confuse the Pulse projector range with the underlying Pulse platform. Barco also uses Pulse technology within some of its higher-level Cinema at Home projectors. Freya, for example, combines Barco’s Pulse platform with its cinema processing architecture.
