“Camo Mode” is AWALL’s term for their active camouflage technology, which is the ability of the video wall to visually imitate whatever surface surrounds it when the display is not in use.

Rather than presenting a dark, reflective black panel when switched off (the default state of every other video wall and large-format display on the market), an AWALL wall in Camo Mode uses its pixels at very low output to reproduce the texture, color, and pattern of the adjacent wall material. If the wall around it is a warm white plaster, the display shows warm white plaster. If it is wood paneling, it shows wood paneling. If it is a custom wallcovering, it shows that pattern.

From across the room, the display effectively disappears into the architecture.

This matters enormously in a luxury residential context. A homeowner who has spent millions on interior design does not want a 200-inch black rectangle dominating a room during a dinner party. With Camo Mode active, guests may not know the wall is a display at all until someone picks up a remote.

AWALL also offers additional ambient states beyond Camo Mode: art display, photography, multi-panel ambient content, and a standard TV mode.
