
Project Manager
Role Overview
The Project Manager for AV Solutions is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of audio-visual integration projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinates internal and external resources, and drives project profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Satisfaction & Communication
- Serve as the main liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively update clients on project progress, milestones, and system operations, providing regular and transparent communication.
- Deliver comprehensive client training sessions to ensure clients are confident and satisfied with their AV systems.
- Address and resolve client concerns promptly to guarantee a positive experience.
Project Planning & Execution
- Review and confirm all project designs and engineering drawings before scheduling resources or ordering products.
- Identify and resolve design gaps or required changes early in the process.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with owners, builders, architects, electricians, and other partners to align project goals and schedules.
- Schedule and manage installation and programming teams, balancing immediate project needs with ongoing technician development and training.
Profitability & Quality Assurance
- Monitor project budgets, track actual costs versus estimates, and identify any overruns or opportunities for savings.
- Ensure timely completion of projects, adjusting schedules and resources as needed to avoid delays and maximize profitability.
- Oversee quality control, including system testing, inspections, and adherence to company standards for fit and finish.
- Ensure accurate as-built documentation is completed and submitted for record-keeping and future service needs.
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach, mentor, and oversee Lead Technicians and Technicians, fostering a positive, high-performance team culture.
- Recommend and coordinate training opportunities to enhance team capabilities and service delivery.
- Enforce safety guidelines and company policies, addressing performance issues in accordance with company procedures.
Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
- Participate actively in weekly project meetings, providing updates on progress, resource requirements, and upcoming needs.
- Address project challenges and emergencies with a solutions-oriented mindset, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive project profitability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience managing AV or technology integration projects.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
- Technical proficiency with AV systems (e.g., Crestron, Lutron, ELAN, etc.) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
